Oeko Tex has taken a decisive step toward reinforcing transparency in the global cotton supply chain by partnering with blockchain traceability specialist TextileGenesis. Through this collaboration, transaction certificates under the Oeko Tex Organic Cotton certification programme will be fully digitised, replacing manual processes with secure, data driven verification. The move comes at a time when brands, regulators and consumers are demanding stronger safeguards against greenwashing and supply chain fraud. By embedding blockchain enabled traceability, Oeko Tex aims to ensure that every certified fibre movement is accurately recorded, verifiable and resistant to manipulation.
